Dubai has seen the first expensive deal of 2025.
Local estate agents managed to sell the famous 'Marble Palace' in Emirates Hills for 425 million dirhams.
The Versailles-style residence became the second property in Dubai's history to sell for a record price after the Como Residences penthouse on Palma Jumeirah, which sold in 2023.
Originally launched for AED 750 million, Marble Palace is located in one of Dubai's most prestigious gated communities, Emirates Hills, and has an interior area of 60,000 square feet.It sits on a 70 thousand square foot plot.
The house has five bedrooms, dining rooms, a garage for 15 cars, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an aquarium with coral reefs containing 70,000 litres of water, a private electricity substation and much more. The windows of the villa overlook the golf course.
Italian stone was used to build the house, and 700,000 sheets of gold leaf were applied by workers over a period of 9 months. The house is decorated with around 400 works of art from the owner's personal collection, mainly statues and paintings from the XIX and XX centuries. There are 50 mature trees and a small lake with a pavilion in the grounds, which give the villa a special charm and create an enchanting atmosphere.
