Dubai has once again surprised the world. The city has introduced the world’s first public beach area open exclusively to women and young children. No men, no cameras, no outside eyes—just complete freedom and privacy. The new destination has already attracted enormous interest from both local residents and female tourists from around the world. And this is not just a small fenced-off stretch of sand, but part of a large-scale coastal transformation project worth AED 500 million.
Why did Dubai take this step? In a city that blends modernity and tradition, there was a growing demand for a safe and secluded place for women. Many wanted to relax, swim, and sunbathe without feeling observed or worrying about strict dress norms. Now, they finally have such a space.
Where the Women-Only Beach Is Located and How to Access It
The new exclusive zone is located in the famous Al Mamzar area, long known for its scenic parks and lagoons. It is not an isolated patch of land, but a fully integrated part of a broader initiative to modernize Dubai’s public beaches. Entry is permitted only to women of all ages and boys up to six years old. Men older than six are strictly prohibited from entering, regardless of whether they are tourists, relatives, or companions.
The entire area is enclosed and monitored around the clock. Security checkpoints at the entrance are staffed exclusively by female guards. All beach personnel, including lifeguards and administrators, are women, creating an atmosphere of complete trust and safety. For local women who follow traditional customs, this beach has become a true gift, allowing them to swim and sunbathe without needing to remain fully covered.

No Cameras and a Strict Photography Ban
One of the beach’s defining features is total privacy. The use of any photo or video recording devices is strictly prohibited throughout the women-only zone. No mobile phone cameras, no professional photography equipment, and no concealed gadgets are allowed. This rule applies to all visitors without exception. Violators face immediate removal and substantial fines.
Why such strict rules? To ensure that every woman feels completely relaxed and comfortable. No one needs to worry that an awkward swimsuit photo will end up online or become public. This is a space where women can be themselves without concern for social media or the gaze of others. Security staff focus not on how visitors are dressed, but on preventing any unauthorized filming.
Swimming Even at Night: A Unique Experience
The beach’s most distinctive feature is the ability to swim around the clock. A dedicated night-swimming zone stretches for 300 meters along the shoreline and is equipped with an advanced lighting system. Bright LED fixtures integrated into breakwaters and special poles create a safe and visually stunning atmosphere after sunset. Imagine warm seawater, a star-filled sky, soft ambient lighting, and no one but other women around you. It is more than a beach—it is a full wellness experience.
During nighttime hours, additional female lifeguards are stationed on watchtowers and patrol the swimming area. Twelve emergency stations equipped with panic buttons and first-aid kits are installed throughout the site. Both the water and shoreline are regularly inspected, ensuring the highest level of safety for night swimming.
